Two Woman being Sought In Midwood Robbery

Brooklyn,NY  Two slobs in a hurry to get clean stole a pack of cleansing wipes off a shelf in a Brooklyn drug store in Midwood and started scrubbing down in an aisle, NYPD said Tuesday.

When a shop worker questioned them about the bizarre behavior, one of them went nuts according to store owner.

Cops are now hoping to find the women and charge them with robbery — since they compounded their wipe-swiping antics with violence, police said.

“I have never seen something escalate so miserably,” one police source said to the NYDN of the oddball crime.

The two women walked into the Ocean Pharmacy on Kings Highway and Ocean Ave. in Midwood at about 4:30 p.m. June 15, cops said.

They grabbed a packet of wipes and got to grooming, which drew the attention of a 29-year-old woman working inside.

The employee confronted them, and one of the women grabbed her by the hair and threw her to the ground.

The dirty duo then ran off, police said.

The victim suffered neck and back pain, but refused medical attention, cops said.

Police on Tuesday released photos of the alleged wipe bandits, and are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS.

The NYPD is seeking the public's assistance in identifying this woman.
