NEW YORK Seniors citizens living at the Randall Balcom Houses in the Throggs Neck section of the Bronx say their boiler exploded around Christmas. In its place, a temporary mobile boiler was installed. But they say it hasn’t been working very well and they’re still left shivering in the cold.
So tenants must find their own ways to keep warm. Many tenants are bundled up inside. Some use their ovens to stay warm.
