NEW YORK Severe thunderstorms and flooding hit the tristate area! Mr. G was LIVE on WPIX, with more on the storms and whether this stretch of wild weather will impact your evening commute. 2 inches of rain in 20 minutes were recorded in parts of the tri-state area.
A funnel cloud was also seen over Brooklyn south.
Newark Liberty, LGA, JFK airports are experiencing 2-5 hour delays for arrivals and departures at this time.

We reviewed pictures and video from New York Harbor, and determined there was a funnel cloud. From the videos we saw, there was no apparent sign of the circulation touching the water.
