Police Officials Give Update On The “Golden State Killer”

SACRAMENTO, California  Officials are giving an update after arresting the “Golden State Killer,” a man who is an ex-cop linked to 51 brutal rapes and at least 12 murders that span from Sacramento, Contra Costa County and down to Southern California over the last four decades.

In 2016, the FBI joined California officials in their renewed hunt for the suspect, and $50,000 reward was announced for his arrest and conviction. He’s linked to more than 175 crimes in all between 1976 and 1986.

500,000 signatures are needed by June 2018 to bring back the death penalty.
