NYPD Seeking The Public’s Help identifying Suspect In Grand Larceny Pattern In Midwood

NEW YORK   The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance identifying the male depicted in the attached videos and photos wanted for questioning in connection to a grand larceny pattern from autos that all occurred within the confines of the 70 Precinct. Details are as follows:

Incident #1: It was reported to the police that on Friday, August 23, 2019, at approximately 8:44 p.m. in front of 1123 Avenue I, a 24-year-old male victim returned to his vehicle to discover a window broken and property removed and called Police. Subsequent investigation determined that on Friday, August 23, 2019 at approximately 1200 hours, an unknown male approached a 2015 Dodge Van, broke the passenger window and removed a bag containing credit cards and identification. The individual then fled on foot to parts unknown. The contents of the property removed had no intrinsic monetary value.

Incident #2: It was reported to the police that on Thursday, August 29, 2019, at approximately 0020 hours, in front of 1283 Coney Island Avenue, a 54-year-old male victim returned to his vehicle to discover a window broken and property removed and called Police. Subsequent investigation determined that on Wednesday, August 28, 2019, at approximately 11:00 p.m., an unknown male approached a 2018 Chevy Suburban, broke the passenger window and removed a bag containing a wallet, cash, and identification. The individual then fled on foot to parts unknown. The contents of the bag had an estimated value of $1,500.

Incident #3: It was reported to the police that on Saturday, September 7, 2019, at approximately 8:30 p.m., in the vicinity of 948 East 12th Street, a 28-year-old male victim returned to his vehicle to discover a window broken and property removed and called Police. Subsequent investigation determined that on Friday, September 6, 2019, at approximately 1700 hours, an unknown male approached a 2017 Nissan Rogue, broke the passenger window and removed a bag containing a wallet, cash, electronics, and identification. The individual then fled on foot to parts unknown. The contents of the bag had an estimated value of $1,500.

The individual is described as follows: male Hispanic, approximately 20-30 years of age, bald head, last seen wearing a baseball cap and all dark clothing.

The photos and video were taken from the vicinity of incident #2 location, during the incident.
