Brooklyn, NY    A paraplegic driver lost control of his car and plowed into 9 pedestrians in Flatbush Thursday night according to witnesses.

The driver jumped the curb at a bus stop on Nostrand Ave. just off Glenwood Rd. in Flatbush around 7:15 p.m., witnesses said. He then crashed into a nail salon.

All patients have non-life-threatening injuries, according to the FDNY that were on scene.

The driver, who didn’t have use of his legs, told cops the device he used to operate his BMW sedan didn’t work properly, and the gas pedal got stuck, said one witness who spoke to the Daily news.

One witness told GifterInGotham about being on the sidewalk and mere feet away and was lucky not to get hit by the out of control vehicle.

A witness told the Daily News, “I heard him telling the cops that his device malfunctioned, and that’s why he lost control of the car.”

One child was injured and was laying on the sidewalk when paramedics arrived.

All patients are in stable condition with non life threatening injuries.
